Jerry Schuman, Co-Founder

Jerry Schuman is a leading authority for the past two decades in the development of Internet-based enterprise business applications. In 1993 he founded Flashpoint Systems -a leader in Internet and intranet application development-and served as chief technology officer. At VERSIFI as chief technology officer, Schuman directed product research and development of VERSIFI’s award winning content management system. Gartner Group called VERSIFI, ‘the most visionary CMS product in the world’. He spearheaded the initiatives to develop and support the latest Internet technologies including object-oriented programming, Java, n-tier architectures, e-business and e-commerce. VERSIFI was sold in late 2000 for 48M. He began his 25-year career as a senior information consultant to Hughes Aircraft.

Mario Martinez, Co-Founder

Martinez is focused on Perssonas’ consumer marketing sciences and corporate development. He started his enterprise and consumer marketing experience in the telecom industry with an early stage venture, ISACOMM, where he headed up business development, which was acquired by Sprint after the divestiture of AT&T. Afterwards, he was brought in to run sales for SkyTel, a wireless messaging service provider, and thereafter became regional Vice President of AT&T Consumer Markets Division. Martinez then moved onto become President of AT&T’s $2.3B Consumer and Small Business in Florida. In advance of moving into the investment banking arena, Martinez was President and COO of the wireless MVNO, US Communications, and he most recently has been a Director of Intellectual Capital Associates and Ion Partners.

Adrian Sexton, CMO

Adrian is focused on enabling entertainment industry to use Perssonas technology to promote their brands and content. As a co-founder & CEO of New Medici LLC, Adrian runs a media + lifestyle consultancy, and niche media network. Prior to New Medici, Mr. Sexton was the Executive Vice President at Participant Media, responsible for running the company’s expansion into global media, digital distribution and marketing. Before Participant, he co-founded TAG Strategic, a digital strategy agency with clients including Qualcomm, Lionsgate and Sandisk. Previously, he headed Lionsgate’s digital media department, where he oversaw digital marketing and business development, shaping and executing the studio’s strategy across broadband, mobile, IPTV and other emerging platforms. Lionsgate’s market capitalization rose from $60 million to $1.2 billion during Sexton’s tenure; and he was part of the team which secured the $350 million credit facility to acquire Artisan Entertainment. Sexton was New Media Director at MediaPact, a $500 million media management and capital firm which invested and took over management of Lionsgate. He has worked on campaigns for Academy Award-winning films: An Inconvenient Truth, Crash and Monster’s Ball as well as the SAW and Tyler Perry franchises. Sexton is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and the Producers Guild of America.

Jessica is an Associate at Intellectual Capital Associates. Her background blends finance, entertainment and new media. At Blowtorch Media Corporation, she participated in raising $200 million for a film fund and internet venture. She developed strategies in the areas of corporate development, distribution and marketing. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Commerce, with honors, from McGill University, ranked 20th in the world, and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
